Terms of Service
Last updated 29 August 2026
The service
Watermark generates uniquely marked copies of documents you upload and, when asked, analyses an artifact to identify which copy it came from. We provide identification signals for your own decision-making; we do not warrant that any result constitutes legal proof.
Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the recipient lists you provide and for keeping your credentials secure. Credits are consumed per marked copy and do not expire, as described on the pricing page.
Responsible use
Watermark is for documents you own and are entitled to distribute. It is not a surveillance tool. You may not use it to mark material you have no rights to, to track individuals outside a legitimate confidentiality interest, or in violation of applicable law. We may suspend accounts that breach this section.
Liability
The service is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in advance. Questions go to hello@watermark.cx.
